Let’s be honest, being an Account Manager can be a tough gig. However, done effectively it is worth its weight in gold. It’s customer service taken to the next level.
As someone who is well versed in account management in the IT sector, you will bring expertise to a company who are held in the highest regard as innovative software developers.
You will have the innate ability to build and maintain business relationships, which will be underpinned by a sound knowledge of technical products, ideally enterprise database software.
You’ll be a natural salesperson, identifying opportunities to upsell and demonstrating new and existing products to customers, primarily within the public sector.
It would be very beneficial if you have some or all of the following; a relevant degree, experience working in the English social care system or within local government finance, marketing experience.
Enough about the requirements though – what’s in it for you?
The salary is on at £27,000 to £40,000 depending on experience. 25 days holiday (and your bank holidays), plus the option to buy 10 more. Not enough time off? You can take a 4-week sabbatical every 5 years too.
If you don’t have your health you haven’t got anything, so life, critical illness and income protection cover will help with that. Your long-term goals will also be taken care of with £1,000/5 days per year contributed towards training alongside regular mentoring and career advice.
Like free stuff? Who doesn’t – free fruit, hot drinks and fortnightly lunches at local restaurants. You’ll be joining a sociable bunch and regularly get out for quizzes, games nights, films, punting – the list goes on.
As part of the role you will be required to travel to client sites (when permitted), including the occasional overnight stay.
Due to the nature of the work with local government clients, please note a DBS check is conducted as part of the recruitment process.
90% FTE and some remote working will be considered for this role.
