Events Account Director
Job posted: 04/10/2019
Type: Full Time
Remember the last event you went to that blew your mind?
The attention to detail, the timing, that one moment that gave you that wow factor.
Sometimes you go places and attend events that are like nothing you’ve ever seen before. That’s what you’ll want for yourself. New ideas, pushing new boundaries and leaving people with that same feeling you had.
These guys put on those kinds of events all the time. The ones with the ‘wow’ and the ones that leave a mark. Sometimes people want simple, but you’ll know how to pin finer details into those and make everything a little more magic. You’ll be a really important part of the team and one who bring with them a wealth of knowledge and excitement.
Directing comes with a whole array of things you’ll be doing. Though since you’ve done it all before, it’ll be no difficult task. Of course, planning, refining, developing, business pitching and account managing isn’t easy, but you’ll be comfortable with your skills and nothing will phase you too much.
You get into events to be creative. To put on a show. To push trends and ideally be a leader in your industry. In this case it’s Automotive, if you’ve got experience in that already you’ll be a pace ahead, but it’s definitely not a deal breaker.
When you work your way up you tend to take a step back from the nitty gritty and take a more operational stance, yes this one has plenty of delegation and processes to adhere to, but you’ll still like to get your hands dirty and running events from start to finish throughout the year.
Just a couple of tick box things you’ll need to have done – conference production, delegate management and multi-disciplined live events such a experiential events, award ceremonies, exhibition stands, board meetings and product launches. It’ll make your life a whole lot easier.
You will get a salary of £38k, a good amount of ‘you’ time with the 25 holiday days on top of your 8 bank holidays. Being in events, there will be some travel within the UK and overseas from time to time and some evening and weekend work required.
Let’s have a chat about it. You can send me a connection and a message on LinkedIn (hover over the picture of my face and the link will appear), or you can send me your CV through the portal. If you’re a talker, my number is to the right.
