We are looking for a Finance Manager to join a scale-up business that is just over 5 years old and have already grown to a multimillion-pound turnover, utilising sustainable technology to improve public transport. They are an agile and growing business, so this kind of environment is one you will be used to and thrive in!
With a pipeline of nearly 1 billion pounds, the next couple of years is looking like a continuation of growth and expansion into new markets – which is going to make this a very exciting opportunity for professional development.
Here you’ll be supporting a Finance Director who is incredibly capable in their field and industry and will be able to pass on huge amounts of knowledge and wisdom to you.
You’ll be leading the finance function on a day-to-day basis on operational and financial deliverables with two direct reports into you. The senior team within the business are all exceptionally experienced in the sector, so you’ll be given great assistance but with the freedom to work as you see fit.
Knowing and understanding ERP systems (they use Infor XA) is incredibly important, as navigating these and extrapolating information from them will form a major part of your role. There are of course pain points with these kinds of systems, we’re looking for someone who is not phased by this and can contribute to improving these.
You’ll know auditing, HMRC tax legislation, and UK legislation like the back of your hand, and being able to show your track record of performance and delivery on targets is really important. If your background is from a regulated manufacturing environment, it’ll put you a few steps ahead.
You’ll get £35,000 – £45,000 depending on your experience plus 25 days holiday (and 8 bank holidays) for a little more ‘you time’.
