Head of Finance

Location Banbury
Salary £70,000 - £80,000 FTE
Industry Finance
Date posted 25/10/2023
Contract type Part-time

We all love a sweet or savoury treat once in a while, sometimes more than once in my case. Our client is a family-run, boutique food producer specialising in the home-baking and savoury markets. As part of a period of planned growth and expansion, they are now on the lookout for a Head of Finance to join their team.

As well as having their own brands in the home-baking market, they also have partnerships with Disney and BBC Studios. They also have several brands on the savoury side of the business and some great partnerships with Jamie Oliver and one of the fastest growing vegan brands in the UK and several other selected retail partners to supply their own labelled ranges.

This is an exciting time to join the business following a period of transformation. Their brands are in a strong position and as the new Head of Finance, you’ll be an integral part of driving the business forward. Reporting directly into the CEO, you’ll also work heavily with the Head of Sales on a commercial level to improve processes and streamline the business.

You will be required to manage a varied range of responsibilities which will include driving all reporting processes and ensuring the delivery of timely and accurate financial information; the production of monthly and annual accounts; annual budgeting and forecasting; cash forecasting and management; and any required bank and investor information. As mentioned previously, there will also be a responsibility to assist on a commercial and strategic level to drive growth and help to increase market share.

From a salary perspective you will be looking at between £70,000 and £80,000 for a full-time position. The salary would be pro-rata’d for a part-time position. Part-time would be at least 3 days in the office with flexibility around a possible fourth day. Office hours are 8:30am-5pm.

We appreciate this is only a snapshot of the role, so if you are interested and want to know more, call me, send me a message (Richard Lambert on LinkedIn), DM, or whatever is easiest. We encourage anyone who feels they are suitable to apply. We love seeing diversity in our applicants. We use specialist technology to ensure there are no gender biases in our adverts.

Every applicant will receive a response. We sometimes make mistakes and miss things from CVs, so you will be given an opportunity to receive feedback and discuss the role in more detail if you feel necessary.
