Head Of Marketing
Want to be a head of marketing in a business that is going to increase revenue from £5m to £500m in the next 7 years?
This customer-centric business is in scale-up mode and has extremely ambitious plans. Not just increasing revenue by nearly 1000%, but by being a recognised and respected brand in a crowded marketplace. They work in the real estate market and the vision they have transcends what nearly every competitor is doing.
As the head of marketing, you will be a crucial cog in this operation. At first, you will be a relatively small cog in a small operation, but with the growth plans, which you will help execute, you will be a big cog in a big machine.
You are coming into a well-oiled machine, in fact, nearly all of their key metrics are extremely positive. But as someone who has been involved in a successful scale-up before, you understand the self-starting drive it takes to make things happen and go from good to great, to exceptional.
Realistically, for the first few months, you will be delivering yourself but will then build and curate your marketing department beneath you. I do not think this role would suit someone who does not like ‘doing’ and only wants to delegate.
If you want to work in an environment where infectious enthusiasm trickles down from the top, this is the kind of environment you want to be in. The founders have always had a ‘roll your sleeves’ up approach and have managed to build the business to a very successful level. They are now in the stage of appointing experts in key departments to enable the next level of growth.
From an experience perspective we are looking for someone that has worked across the full marketing mix, understands the importance of social media in brand development, can create their own (original) content, is comfortable attending events and exhibitions (public speaking experience would be a great asset). There is a pretty exhaustive list of what we’re looking for, but I’m happy to share that with you once we’ve established an interest.
Salary-wise, you will be looking at a basic of between £50,000 and £70,000 depending on your experience. You will be eligible for an EMI scheme, as well as an annual performance bonus. The head office is in central London (Shoreditch) – please make sure you live within commuting distance to here.
