HR Director

Location Staffordshire
Salary £60,000 - £80,000 per annum
Industry Business Support
Date posted 07/10/2021
Contract type Full time

The hospitality sector has been of the hardest hit over the last 18 months, we are working with a hospitality group who are coming out of the other side in a better position than when they went in – due to excellent management and strategic investment.

They have used this as an opportunity to improve nearly every aspect of their property’s infrastructure, spending 10m in the process. The group is big enough for you to feel the scale of the operation and impact real change, but not too big that you won’t know the names of all your teams.

This is a position that reports directly to the board of directors. They are a group that is deeply passionate about improving standards not only internally, but across the wider hospitality sector. They place great importance of continuously improving the culture and employee experience, as they know this will translate in to a better experience for their guests.

You’ll have had a decorated career so far in Human Resources and will bring with you a wealth of knowledge in best practice, human resources strategy and policies, legislation, and implementation – ideally in the hospitality/leisure sector.

As a HR Director already, you’ll be immersed in all aspects of the business. You’ll know the ins and outs of your teams and you’ll know what, why, and how to achieve the most efficient and people-friendly way of doing things. Being the go-to, it’s imperative you’re completely approachable, well-rounded, and have excellent empathy skills.

You are going to be setting strategic priorities for the board over short, medium, and long-term timescales, as well as providing sound strategic advice, so case studies of how you have successfully done this before would be great to hear about! If you have done this over multiple sites, this is even better!

You will spend most of your time at the flagship property in the midlands, but will also travel to the head office (in Cotswolds), as well other properties in the group (Notts).

From a salary perspective, you are looking at between £60,000 and £80,000 depending on your experience. The group offers excellent benefits and treats its employees like family.

If you are interested or want to know more (including seeing the full client job brief), send me a message, DM, call me – whatever is easiest. Having an up-to-date CV to hand is ideal, but if you haven’t got one immediately, we can still chat through the position and you can learn more.

Every applicant will receive a response. We sometimes make mistakes and miss things from CVs, so you will be given an opportunity to receive feedback and discuss the role in more detail if you feel necessary. We encourage anyone who feels they are suitable to apply, we love seeing diversity in our applicants. We use specialist technology to ensure there is no gender bias in our adverts.
