Having knowledge of sports and fitness equipment is going to make your life a lot easier, as this is what you will be talking about, day in, day out with existing customers. There is of course fantastic training and support – but fundamental knowledge of fitness equipment and the gym world would be great.
This is a new position within the service team, where you will deal with inbound enquiries as well as reaching out to existing customers to upsell and generate new revenue. You will need to have a good working knowledge of Salesforce as you utilise the data from there to build campaigns and target existing customers.
Let’s make no bones about it, your primary objective is to generate revenue and attain your targets (c£400k). If you’re someone who shies away from targets, high achievement and building relationships, this role probably isn’t for you. You will need to be a natural communicator, confident talking to clients over both the phone and face to face.
The good news is there is no hard sell here, you’re working with plenty of inbound enquiries from big companies looking to extend warranties on equipment they have previously bought. The position has been created so you also have a chance to utilise the large number of clients who don’t enquire- there is a massive opportunity to generate revenue.
Creating and maintaining a dynamic culture is challenging, but it can and is being done with these guys. They have a speak up employment survey, with year-on-year improvements. It’s the kind of place I would like to work!
Once you have built up your pipeline you will need to spend 3 days a week in the office (High Wycombe), with the rest out on the road meeting with clients.
You will get a basic salary of £30k, with commission and a bonus on top which could reasonably see you earning north an extra £1000 a month! There is also plenty of other corporate benefits which I’d love to tell you about when we speak!
