IT Support Analyst

Location: Burton upon Trent

Salary: £18,000 - £20,000

Industry: Information Technology

Job posted: 16/07/2019

Type: Full time

Being an IT Support Analyst, you’ll already know the ins and outs of resolving desktop and software issues. Surprisingly, ‘turn it off and on again’ doesn’t always work, so we’re building a team to help across a very busy, and always growing Hospitality group. This IT Support role will be providing support to 4+ large sites, but you’ll be working closely with the Group IT Manager so will have someone to consult with and continue to learn from.

Ideally, you will have exposure to troubleshooting IT errors and have some experience with Office365/Active Directory. Since a lot of the work will be reactive, you’ll be good under pressure but often working to quite short deadlines.

Due to the location and on-site visits, you’ll need to hold a full UK driving licence and be more than happy with flexible travel and hours. Whilst based at one site, meetings and visits will be part of the role.

Your day to day responsibilities:

  • Supporting users with hardware and software issues across multiple sites
  • Troubleshooting Windows 10 & MS Office
  • New user creation using O365
  • Network patching and desk moves
  • Support users via phone, email and face to face – so communicating won’t be difficult for you
  • Log and manage calls on the helpdesk
  • Monitoring the Hyper-V environment (using their dashboard and reporting)
  • Learning new systems (hardware & software)
  • Supporting the Group IT Manager on any projects

Some boxes you’ll need to tick:

  • A genuine interest in IT and the desire to learn more
  • Good communication skills – you’ll be speaking directly with sites
  • Be flexible over travel and working hours
  • IT knowledge and understanding
  • Experience with Windows 7, Windows 10, Microsoft Office and basic networking
  • Hold a UK Driving License and own a car

Some extras we’d like:

  • Office365 admin knowledge
  • Microsoft SharePoint experience
  • MS Active Directory experience
  • Hyper-V experience

What you’ll get:

  • £20,000 p/a
  • Discounts on hotel/spa stays, retail, food and beverage
  • Use of gym and leisure facilities
  • Regular team parties
  • Meals on duty

We are fully aware that your CV only tells part of your story, so if you would like to discuss the role in more detail, please contact OX Seven for a chat about the role and an opportunity to see the candidate brief. Every application will receive a response (positive or negative) and you will be given the opportunity to question decisions and receive further feedback.
