I am looking for a Key account manager to join a global food manufacturing business.

 

You will work with new and existing customers to take new ideas and concepts to market. You’re going to need to be creative and have the ability to spot opportunities for customers, to evolve, grow and diversify their products. You are backed up by marketing teams to provide insights on trends, by NPD teams to help create the concepts to take to the customer and an incredible operations team to make it happen.

 

You will sit in the commercial division of a global food manufacturing company – you are going to benefit from a well-established and knowledgeable team around you. They very much have a squad approach, and although they will appreciate your hunter mentality, they’ll also expect you to share information and collaborate as they will with you.

 

This is a B2B Key Account Management role in a food environment, so your background is going to need to reflect this. You will have created opportunities and executed strategy successfully before in a B2B food environment. You’re also going to appreciate and understand what it is like to work with a large corporate and the ‘occasional’ restrictions you will have – but you’ll be adept at working around these and making things happen.

 

It’s going to suit someone who takes an overarching strategic view on things, rather than just looking at the P&L (which you will manage) on a month-by-month budgetary basis. My client looks to build long-term win-win relationships, not just transactional order-taking dynamics.

 

This is a remote-based role. You will spend about 2 days a week at home preparing presentations/doing admin ready for spending your other 3 days a week with clients. This role will require travel to Ireland frequently (about 8/9 times a year) so an ability and comfort doing this is extremely important.

 

From a package perspective, you are looking at a base salary of between £55,000 and £60,000. On top of this you are eligible for a 15% performance-related basis (individual and team), a car allowance of £500 or company car, private medical, 26 (+8) days annual leave, and various other benefits.
