Do you want to join a leading broad-spectrum calibration and instrumentation company at a time where the growth plan is HUGE, and no days are the same?! I have the perfect role for you…

We are looking for an experienced Laboratory Manager to join the Managing Director and Quality Manager in the management of the team and assisting in the maintenance and growth of UKAS scope based in Lincolnshire.

This business has increased its turnover from £80,000 to £2.4million within the last ten years, with the intention to grow it again to £20million which you will play a pivotal part of.

You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the equipment; ensuring that procedures are validated, updated and performed at all times. You will have a good understanding of calibration practices and theories with previous experience of at least two disciplines and be responsible for staff to execute work properly and safely using the appropriate equipment and advise where necessary.

As an experience Laboratory Manager, you will know this job a lot better than I do but for the avoidance of doubt, some areas you must have experience in are BS EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditations with the ability to work to the requirements of UKAS M3003 also. You will be responsible in taking the lead in external audits both ISO 17025 & ISO 9001.

And if you’re still with me now this role could be right for you…

This is an organisation that wants to look after you and develop you professionally. They offer paid external training and further training in disciplines that you are not experienced in.

You’ll get a salary of £37,500 to £50,000 per annum depending on experience with a bonus scheme and commission on sales enquiries as well. We understand that this role is a “niche market” so relocation packages are available for the right candidate. Due to the nature of the role, you will be required to be working on site in Ingham Monday – Friday.

We appreciate this is a tiny snippet of what you would do, so if you are interested and want to know more, call me, send me a message (Sammy Barrett on LinkedIn), DM, or whatever is easiest. We encourage anyone who feels they are suitable, to apply, we love seeing diversity in our applicants. We use specialist technology to ensure there are no gender biases in our adverts.
