Salary: £30,000 - £35,000
Job posted: 23/06/2019
Chances are you’ve been a maintenance lead, senior team member or manager before. Maybe you haven’t led such an extensive operation, but you’ll have the tools (pardon the pun) and know-how to take on such a project. You’re not one to shy away from the general public as due to the nature of this business, you’ll definitely be amongst people, but instead, you’ll blend seamlessly into the wider team and set the 5* standards this place has.
The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining the general appearance of the interior and exterior of the property, reactive and preventative. As there are pools, detox areas and hot tubs there are plant rooms – which you will be responsible for. You will be a health and safety lead for the entire property.
You will be working with a high-end hotel and day spa, with an outstanding reputation across the country. With over 100 rooms, a considerable spa and multiple restaurants, this is a property to be desired. The property are looking at undertaking a number of high profile projects over the next 12 months, so it is a very exciting time to join the business.
Your day-to-day as Maintenance Manager in a nutshell:
- Leading a team of busy tradespeople
- Pro-actively carry out preventative maintenance in all areas of the property
- Manage and coordinate ongoing projects alongside group head of maintenance
- Ensure that all areas of the property are compliant with the HSE
- Responding to maintenance requests on an ad-hoc basis
What we will look for on your CV:
Since you’re going to be managing a team, obviously you’ll need to lead by example. This place is all hands on deck, and due to the size of the operation this means rolling your sleeves up and getting involved in the maintenance work yourself and showing best practice. So you’ll not be sat in the office ticking H&S sheets, you’ll be with the rest of the team setting a standard.
Given the type of property and the fact it has multiple swimming pools and plant rooms, you must have worked in a similar environment and be familiar with ‘The Swimming Pool Water Guide’. Sounds fancy, and it is. You’ll need to be clued up on it.
As you will be responsible for the overall maintenance of a large property, you must have held a similar post before in a commercial business and have a strong grasp of the implications of completing work in a 24/7 operational business.
There is a very extensive candidate brief which I would love to discuss with you further if you feel you would be suitable.
What you get:
- £30,000 – £35,000 per anum
- Various corporate benefits
- Discount at sister properties on food, spa and beverage
We are fully aware that your CV only tells part of your story, so if you would like to discuss the role in more detail, please contact OX Seven for a chat about the role and an opportunity to see the candidate brief.
Every application will receive a response (positive or negative) and you will be given the opportunity to question decisions and receive further feedback.
