Marketing and Communications Manager

Location Moreton In Marsh
Salary £30,000-£37,000 (Pro Rated)
Industry Marketing
Date posted 13/09/2022
Contract type Full time School Hours

We are looking for a Marketing and Communications Manager to join a private co-educational school, set in the idyllic Cotswolds.

The school has impeccably high standards all round and the impression you create through your thoughtful marketing, is the first many prospective parents and students get.

You are going to need to have impeccable written communication skills as well as broad marketing experience, ideally in an education setting. Your job is essentially to market the school and raise the profile whilst improving all the internal and external communications.

You will work closely with the head of the school to develop the marketing strategy. You will lead and develop the whole school communication strategy. In an ever-changing world it will be your job to identify new ways to recruit and retain pupils.

A key part of the role will be to establish good relationships with key influencers and journalists to ensure the school gets the positive reputation (it most definitely deserves). Your writing must be impeccable as you write weekly newsletters and ad hoc pieces (through social media) promoting the successes of the school.

It sounds obvious, but previous experience working with social media is important as you pro-actively oversee all of the social media channels, as well as making sure the website (they use WordPress) is fully up to date and best portrays the school.

You will take huge pride in working here, it’s an incredible school, with a fantastic reputation (which does make your life considerably easier!).

Salary you’ll be looking at £30,000 – £37,000 (Pro-ratad). The is a full-time, term time role, plus 4 additional weeks bringing you up to 36 weeks in total.

If you are interested or want to know more (including seeing the full client job brief), send me a message, DM, call me – whatever is easiest. Having an up-to-date CV to hand is ideal, but if you haven’t got one immediately, we can still chat through the position, and you can learn more.

Every applicant will receive a response. We sometimes make mistakes and miss things from CVs, so you will be given an opportunity to receive feedback and discuss the role in more detail if you feel necessary. We encourage anyone who feels they are suitable to apply, we love seeing diversity in our applicants. We use specialist technology to ensure there is no gender bias in our adverts.
