Matrimonial Solicitor

Location Leamington Spa
Salary £40,000 - £55,000
Industry Legal
Date posted 23/01/2024
Contract type Full time

If you are passionate about both family and divorce law, this could be the career move you’ve been waiting. I’m working with a well-respected and well-established legal firm in the vibrant and picturesque town of Leamington Spa.

My client operates across all areas of law, but an immediate opportunity has arisen for an experienced Matrimonial Solicitor to join the Family Department on permanent basis. Working out of purpose-built offices, with good access to the motorway network, you’ll be picking up an active caseload to provide a first-class service to divorce clients, the majority of which will be HNW individuals, with some childcare work involved as well and almost no publicly funded cases.

Ideally, you will have 5+ years PQE, but those with 4+ years will still be considered on merit. You will need experience of dealing with complex financial settlements, including wealth issues, overseas capital, pensions, and property matters, and knowledge of the issues relating to business/partnership division is also required as well as the ability to understand and interpret business accounts. A thorough understanding of FPR pension law and comparative rates is also required to ensure a high level of service to your clients.

As an experienced, qualified solicitor, this is an opportunity to make a real difference at a firm that has built a solid reputation for providing sound legal advice for over 30 years. Ideally, you will be a member of Resolution and the Family Advanced Accreditation Scheme and bring a can-do attitude to a dynamic and hard-working team. You will be organised, efficient, computer literate with the enthusiasm and energy to play a key role in the growth and success of the department.

From a salary perspective you’ll be looking at between £40 – 55,000 DOE, holiday allowance, company pension come as standard along with some flexibility to work from home if necessary. The team work well together, and you will be expected to present in the office to ensure the department runs smoothly and effectively. There is free parking on-site and the 50 strong office provides a relaxed and friendly environment to work in.

We appreciate this is only a snapshot of the role, so if you are interested and want to know more, call me, send me a message (Richard Lambert on LinkedIn), DM, or whatever is easiest. We encourage anyone who feels they are suitable, to apply, we love seeing diversity in our applicants. We use specialist technology to ensure there are no gender biases in our adverts.

Every applicant will receive a response. We sometimes make mistakes and miss things from CVs, so you will be given an opportunity to receive feedback and discuss the role in more detail if you feel necessary.
