Paraplanner
Paraplanners form an integral part of the financial planning process, but have you ever dreamt of becoming more? This opportunity represents a very real opportunity to take your career forward.
Based in Surrey, my client has built a reputation for providing a high-level of investment and financial planning advice to high–net worth individuals and their families for over 40 years. You will step into a vacant role and take full ownership of the paraplanning duties for their financial advisor. There will also be some general administration and the ability to study towards managing your own portfolio of clients as a Financial Advisor, funded and supported by the firm.
As a paraplanner, you will also have direct access to a Fund Manager that works within the business, allowing further opportunities for developing your knowledge and gaining an understanding of the decision-making processes a Fund Manager follows to form their investment decisions. An extremely rare but amazing opportunity. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting and ensuring the seamless execution of clients’ financial plans.
Ideally, you will have been working in a similar paraplanning role within an IFA practice for a minimum of 5 years and be looking for a new challenge. The firm is planning to expand over the next 6-18 months, and this role is a pivotal part of the process.
You will possess excellent verbal and writing communication skills, be able to work on your own effectively, but also work as part of a small team to drive the growth of the business. Knowledge of AO and final salary transfers would be a great advantage. You’ll be articulate, organised, analytical and be able to work to tight deadlines.
From a salary perspective, my client is offering up to £40,000 for the right candidate, standard holiday allowances and pension. You will be expected to be office-based on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, working from home on Monday and Friday. There is a discretionary bonus available based on performance, as well as the ability to upskill to full advisor level within the business.
We appreciate this is only a snapshot of the role, so if you are interested and want to know more, call me, send me a message (Richard Lambert on LinkedIn), DM, or whatever is easiest. We encourage anyone who feels they are suitable, to apply, we love seeing diversity in our applicants. We use specialist technology to ensure there are no gender biases in our adverts.
Every applicant will receive a response. We sometimes make mistakes and miss things from CVs, so you will be given an opportunity to receive feedback and discuss the role in more detail if you feel necessary.
