My client is going through a fantastic period of growth, doubling in size over the last 5 years, and are now looking for a Regional Sales Manager to cover the North-East and Scotland territory. Their unique branded food concepts are designed and delivered into the foodservice and retail markets. Working with some of the UK’s largest catering contractors to provide high-quality and delicious food, they have a passion for innovation and have their sights firmly set on high-levels of continued growth.

Your passion for food is key for this role. You might be a chef looking for a career change, or early on in your sales career with a deep passion for amazing food. As a Regional Sales Manager, you will be picking up around 200 active accounts, and be tasked with nurturing, growing and maximising revenue from your customers. There is also an emphasis on identifying new business, setting appointments and converting into new accounts for further growth.

Once your training is complete, you will be tasked with developing and implementing a regional action plan to maximise revenue in your territory. This will mean analysing existing spend data, identifying key areas and spotting market trends to take advantage of emerging markets. You will be in charge of your diary, averaging 2 meetings per day across a working week. There is no micro-managing here, it’s your patch and yours to grow.

This isn’t a role where you’ll be sat at your desk responding to emails all day. New products will need to be demonstrated to ensure clients are preparing and serving correctly. New clients will need guiding through the product range, and this will mean you’re in the kitchen explaining the end-to-end process. You could be in a client meeting one day and in a kitchen the next. You will need to be personable, communicative and able to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

From a salary perspective, you will be looking at a basic of up of £34-£36,000 per year DOE, a Kia Sportage company car and fuel card, company credit card for hotels/meals, laptop, mobile phone, optional private healthcare, and company profit related bonus (The company will put 5% of whatever it makes in pre-tax profit into the scheme).
