How are your investigation skills?
You don’t have to be Sherlock Holmes, but you’ll need to be extremely adept in the auditing process and the guidelines that govern them.
Your professionalism and commitment in producing high quality work will be top of your personal characteristics list, meaning you’ll fit in really nicely with a knowledgeable and innovative department.
You’ll also need the flexibility to adapt to changing conditions in order to meet deadlines and client expectations. Building a strong rapport with your client base will be of paramount importance here.
So, what will you be doing?
You’ll be involved in the management and delivery of audit and accounts assignments (40% audit/ 60% accounts split) for a range of clients including Limited companies, Sole Traders, Partnerships, Charities and other Not-For-Profit organisations.
Additionally, you’ll be required to prepare corporation tax and business tax computations, along with the supporting analysis.
What about the specific requirements?
Well, you’ll be fully qualified ACCA or ACA (or QBE) with the ability to complete jobs to the highest possible standard with the minimum of supervision. You’ll also be a strong people manager who sets the example and is enthusiastic about the training of staff.
You’ll have a proven track record in leading audits, from planning through to completion, and have excellent technical knowledge of FRS and ISA.
Furthermore, if you have experience in the Charity or Not-For-Profit sectors this would be very beneficial.
