Swiss Army Knives are multi-functional and I’m looking for the human equivalent. A multi-skilled engineer with experience in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic disciplines.
As a Shift Engineer you’ll be responsible for providing a fast and efficient response time to any on shift breakdowns that occur, troubleshooting and correcting machinery problems and providing routine service maintenance across the site.
Furthermore, you’ll be controlling the plant start up and shut down and maintaining accurate and timely records with planned, preventative and reactive maintenance work.
You’ll need to be a time served engineer/technician with suitable experience for the position. You will have professional electrical and mechanical qualifications and knowledge of machinery hydraulics, pneumatics, steam systems and maintenance programmes.
If you also have knowledge of moulding and a FLT licence that would be very beneficial.
As the title indicates this role involves shift work so you can’t be shy when it comes to that. The week comprises of a basic 40 hours with the following shift pattern: Rotating 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm. Fixed 10pm-6am. Flexible to meet the needs of the business.
Okay, so what do you get for all this?
You’ll get a salary of £35,000 to £38,000 (DOE). There is also a 10% performance related company bonus as well as other perks.
