Their continuous and rapid growth is testament to their ethos of “high quality” which is embraced by each member of staff.  As they continue grow, they are looking for a Toolmaker to join their production department.

What you’ll do:

  • Tooling strip down and diagnosis for repair
  • Tooling improvements
  • Support the production areas in technical assessment of tooling issues
  • Preventive maintenance of tooling, cleaning tool faces etc
  • Complete tool reports and ordering of spare parts
  • Polishing of A surface moulds
  • Fabrication of fixtures and spare parts for tooling
  • Liaise with external tool shops
  • Maintain Spare parts system
  • Maintain tooling standards and enhancements

You will be responsible for the repair, maintenance and improvement of all tooling. You’ll have excellent knowledge and background in this area already and will be able to come on board and fall easily into your position.

What you’ll bring:

  • Demonstratable tool making experience
  • In depth understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes
  • Planning and prioritising skills
  • Ability to present data effectively
  • Understanding of Health & Safety practices
  • Analytical skill set
  • Understanding of cost and financial impacts
  • Experience of working to tight production targets
  • Prior knowledge of lean manufacturing and 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardise, Sustain) process
