Based near Rugby, Warwickshire, the client is an industry leader in the world of logistics, who specialise in the transportation of pharmaceutical products across EU.
They currently run clinical trials participating in the advancement of cancer treatment. What an incredible thing to be a part of, right?
So far, they have expanded from the UK into parts of Europe with plans to grow further and eventually break the US market! With these plans in place, the client is looking to take on an experienced planner with a knowledge of logistics, specifically within UK and Europe.
As an experienced Transport Planner, your responsibilities will include: route optimization, logistics management, resource allocation and client communication. All of which are crucial for smooth pharmaceutical transportation.
You’ll optimize routes to ensure timely, cost-effective deliveries. Managing logistics and ensuring compliance with regulations. You will also handle resource allocation, including drivers and vehicles, to meet customer needs efficiently.
You will also be heavily involved in risk management, which involves identifying issues and creating contingency plans. Maintaining open client communication, providing updates and addressing concerns will also be high on your priorities.
We’re looking for someone who can work proactively to get stuff done; you’ll seek ways to improve transportation, reduce environmental impact, and enhance cost-efficiency, making you indispensable within the industry.
You can expect a salary of £28,000 per annum. With great benefits and the perks of joining a growing team!
The role is in the Honiley based office Monday to Friday, with a rotational on call every other weekend.
