VAT Manager
Are you currently working in a VAT dispute or advisory role? This could be the next career move you’ve been waiting for.
Our client specialises in dealing with tax and VAT disputes associated to HMRC for a wide variety of clients. They work across disclosure, tribunal and alternative dispute resolution, as well as helping clients with time to pay solutions.
They are now looking to expand their offering and develop a VAT advisory arm of the business and require a VAT Manager to help spearhead the expansion. Working as part of a small team, this is a genuine opportunity to enter the business at the beginning of an exciting growth period, with plenty of opportunity for career progression.
Ideally you will have experience of dealing with HMRC or for HMRC and be comfortable speaking to clients to propose solutions to their problems. Some experience of dealing with tribunals and the subtle intricacies of this process would be advantageous. There will also be an element of business development to the role to help grow the new advisory division, with the help of your assistant and newly appointed VAT Director.
Our client places huge emphasis on training and developing all staff, and there is potential to gain additional qualifications to further your personal and career development. Every quarter there is a team learning session where everyone meets and shares knowledge on different areas of the business. Senior members of staff will take different questions on certain areas of the job and provide valuable insight and share expertise to help you develop as an individual and as a team.
This is not the sort of environment where you are clock watched on billable time, you are trusted to get on and manage your own diary. Ideally, you will be based within a commutable distance to their new offices in Leeds, but there is also scope for a hybrid working setup for the right candidate. They also have an office in Manchester that could be utilised.
From a salary perspective you will be looking at between £50,000 – 60,000, generous holiday allowance, Perkbox access, company pension and an array of other benefits.
