Our client is an internationally recognised sporting enterprise, looking for an event focused logistics manager to join their thriving team.

You will be part of one of the UK’s largest sporting events, as a key decision maker. Overseeing and supporting events, as well as engaging with internal and external stakeholders to provide solutions to any logistical challenges.

The logistics manager will be responsible for the strategic logistics plans of major events. Working with all departments and external partners to understand requirements. Planning and project managing the design, layout and integration of all temporary infrastructure. Ensuring high standards of safety, delivery, budget management and stakeholder engagement. You will also be responsible for the installation and derig of any infrastructure.

Overseeing the event set up ensuring everything is in place. Maintaining first class standard and confirming all logistical elements such as health and safety compliance is followed.

Design coordination and project management of overall site plans using CAD overlay, will be a key part of your project. Supervising the overall specification, orders and installation of temporary infrastructure. Such as generators, tower lights, marquees and toilets.

You’ll assist the designated project lead in determining accurate, cost effective and realistic budgets. Providing clear and detailed briefings prior to events, confirming all is understood and requirements are met within given time frames. Validating any design solutions against site conditions, ensuring appropriate placement. All whilst maintaining regular contact with the on-site event team.

After events, the logistics manager will provide on-going data towards improvement of any future plans.

You’ll be coaching the logistics team to meet agreed objectives. As well as managing contractors and additional staff. Tracking the rota and attending meetings relating to the venue and delivery.

From a salary perspective, my client is offering between £45,000 – £47,000, as well as some great company benefits.
