Fancy taking a bit of a step back from the hands-on stuff?
Maybe you’ve put in enough hours doing the manual work and you’re keen to take a back seat from the joinery, to managing the process and shop instead. Or, maybe you’re already a Workshop Manager with a joinery background or Senior Foreman looking to take on a new project, whatever it is, you’ll be great with managing people and have near perfect organisation.
With it being the 21st century, you’re going to also need to have a good level of computer knowledge. You don’t need to be a wizz, but with most of the administration being on there you need to be able to navigate your way through it all.
With the high quality, low volume approach that these guys take, it’s important that you put everything into what you do and have hold high standards for your team. There’s around 20 direct reports into you so on point communication and knowing how to utilize your team to the best of their strengths is key. You’ll also be in charge of any disciplinary matters, attendance issues and production staff issues if any arise.
Focusing mainly on Beauty Retail – a booming industry at the moment – you’ll be benchmarked for creativity and have your voice heard. You’re going to need to have full knowledge and understanding of retail joinery manufacturing and production, after all, that’s how you’ll spend your day.
Working with only blue-chip clients sets you up with excellent scope for growth as the company continues to go one step further.
Salary will be £35,000 – £45,000 depending on your experience.
